In response to the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak in the UK and the rest of the world, which is causing much concern and confusion to businesses and consumers alike, Hyquip wish to share the following information to all our stakeholders.
Business operations continue as normal. We are continuously monitoring the situation and taking the latest advice as issued from the UK Government. We would like to reassure you that the health and wellbeing of our employees, customers, partners and supply chain is of paramount priority and we will continue to take the recommended preventative and containment actions.
To help protect our staff, suppliers and customers, we are encouraging regular hand washing and the use of hand sanitisers. In addition, we are taking proactive steps to ensure the welfare of our employees by maintaining a register of daily temperature readings and other measures as deemed necessary, such as, sanitisation of door handles, maintaining healthy distances in offices, factories and meeting rooms etc.
We are ramping up the use of technology to encourage remote working with our sales team, customers and suppliers alike to support social distancing as recommended by the UK Government over the coming weeks. We already have conference facilities set up with broadband and smart screen technology for online meetings.
We will continue to monitor the spread of COVID-19 and will evolve our operational policy as challenges arise.
