PROJECT ENGINEER - HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS
HYQUIP is a specialist provider of hydraulic and lubrication systems, work-holding and production automation solutions for most industrial sectors. Our engineering division looks after the concept design, detail design, project management and technical support for standardised and bespoke fluid power systems.
You will be a time served apprentice with a minimum HNC or a graduate with an associated degree and relevant industrial work experience. Hydraulic system and component knowledge is important whilst experience in related technical disciplines; electrical, pneumatic or lubrication systems is desirable.
You must have a sound understanding of hydraulic circuitry and engineering/fluid power calculations with strong AutoCad/Inventor knowledge and experience. This role is for a 'hands on' Project Engineer/draughtsman who is IT literate and who is confident preparing associated documentation, including but not limited to: quality plans, method statements, risk assessments, system write-ups, valve schedules, maintenance manuals, reports and client presentations using MS Office. You must be confident making decisions, managing projects and costs, preparing quotations and managing contract variations, overseeing workshop build and site installations and solving problems.
You will be expected to prepare detailed schematic, fabrication, mechanical and general arrangement drawings and associated LTQR documentation. With strong interpersonal and consulting skills you will be a team player and have the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and relationships whilst also adept at making commercial and technical decisions.
You will be expected to display a positive and motivational leadership style in order to promote and develop a 'can do' culture that is customer and stakeholder focused to ensure all projects are managed effectively, delivered on time and on budget.
