These precision locating pins are ideal for positioning workpieces due to the broad range of available head diameters, allowing them to fit machined holes in the part. Along with standard diameters, custom head sizes ranging from .1150" to 1.0400" can be quickly produced in .0001" increments to meet specific requirements. Typically, a Round Locating Pin and a Diamond Locating Pin are used together to align from two holes without causing interference, as the Diamond Locating Pin is specially relieved for this purpose. The press-fit shank is designed for permanent installation whereas the lockscrew variant is manufactured with a slip-fit shank for renewable installation.
Mini-size stainless steel version of our Tapped-Heel Clamp Straps. Extra-wide nose can be used to distribute clamping force evenly, or to clamp two parts simultaneously. This clamp strap can be ordered individually, or in a complete clamp assembly. As the outer diameter is not ground, it’s essential to precisely position the inner diameter during casting or potting to ensure the completed tool’s accuracy.
Carr Lane Press fit bushings are the most common yet most cost-effective type of drill bushing in the range. P-style drill bushings are the most common and cost-effective type of drill bushing. These bushings are permanently installed into the jig plate, typically flush with the top surface. Press fit bushings (P- style) bushings are primarily used for single-operation drilling or reaming, particularly when there is no expectation of replacing the bushings throughout the tooling's lifespan. They can be mounted closer together than headed bushings but provide less resistance to heavy axial loads. These are available in both ground and unground variants. Carr Lanes eye bolts are equipped with a reamed bearing hole and are manufactured using solid barstock to ensure high strength. These are available in metric and imperial sizing as well as both stainless steel and high-carbon steel.
Carr Lane Marine ball lock pins are available in three variations including: button handle, recessed button handle and ring handle. This range is only available in stainless steel to provide extra protection from corrosion in marine environments. Ball lock pins are high-strength, quick-release alignment pins with a precision ground shank. These are available in pin diameters from 3/16 to 3/4" (5 to 16mm in metric).Pins with special grip lengths up to 12” (300mm) and other special features can be made to order.
