Carr Lane Index Plungers

Index plungers are heavy-duty assemblies featuring a retractable, spring-loaded plunger and a corresponding locating bushing (sold separately). Tapered Index Plungers have a 15° taper on the plunger tip that matches the taper in the bushing, facilitating easier alignment and preventing binding during retraction. A straight plunger option is also available for slightly better positional accuracy. The plunger is fully retracted by a rotary-cam action when the handle is rotated 180°, with hardened steel cam surfaces for durability. The standard-mount configuration shown here includes a whistle notch on the Index Plunger to align with a setscrew. This configuration comes in three sizes, offering both inch and metric plunger diameters.

Standard Mount

  • The standard-mount configuration shown has a precision ground body with a whistle notch for orientation with a setscrew (also available with a slightly oversize unground body to allow custom grinding to size).

Flange Mount

  • The flange-mount configuration shown has a precision ground body with a flange used for orientation by fastening with two socket-head cap screws (also available with a slightly oversize unground body to allow custom grinding to size). Flange mounting is designed for installations where a cross hole for a set screw is not practical.

Blank Machinable End

  • The version shown here has a blank machinable end for easy adaptation to various actuating devices, including automated setups. Precision ground body (also available with a slightly oversize unground body to allow custom grinding to size).

Carr Lane Forged Adjustable Clamps

Carr Lane forged adjustable clamps are available in several variations. Thes include standard, flange nut assembly and hand knob assembly. These clamps deliver quick height adjustment without the need for blocks or shims. Its integrated design ensures fast setup and prevents the loss of clamp components. The clamp can be rotated 90° in either direction for added loading clearance. A removable brass heel protects the machine table. Available for stud sizes from 5/16-18 to 1"-8 (M8 to M24 in metric).

Carr Lane L and T pins

Carr Lane L and T Pins

L Pins and T Pins have precision-ground pin diameter to ensure accurate hole alignment. L Pins and T Pins are removable locating pins with a durable construction, each featuring a handle end with a small hole for attaching an optional cable. These pins come in a variety of diameters and lengths. Jig Pins, similar to L and T Pins, incorporate an integral shoulder to keep the handle raised.  Also available from the Carr Lane range, locking L Pins and T Pins with a lock screw that securely holds bushings in place. These pins are available in both imperial and metric sizes.
