This year marks a significant milestone for HYQUIP as we celebrate 25 years in business.

Since being founded in April 2001 by Paul Taylor and Kathy Yates, HYQUIP has grown into a trusted partner for fluid power solutions. Over the last 25 years, we’ve experienced growth, embraced change, and, of course, had plenty of challenges along the way.

However, throughout the last quarter of a century, several constants have remained the same: the commitment to our customers, a thirst for innovation, an inclusive culture, and a desire to improve and develop through collaboration. It’s these principles that have instilled trust in many of our long-standing customers and partners across a wide range of industries.

 

Our People Make Us What We Are

At the heart of HYQUIP is our team.

Every employee plays a vital role in our success, and we’re incredibly proud that over 70% of our workforce has been with us for more than 15 years.

Combined with a younger generation coming through, including several apprentices, this blend of experience, creativity, and skills makes us strong.

The shared values and beliefs continue to drive us forward.

A Huge Thank You & Catching Up With Our First Customer!

Recently, we caught up with our first ever customer and local man, Harold Barlow.

We invited Harold in to chat about how he started off in the industry, serving his time as an apprentice at Mechanical Services, which is now Indespension, working his way up to engineering manager before starting up his own company, HBMS Limited.

It was fantastic to listen to Harold’s stories and projects with HYQUIP, from developing new solutions with Terry Holt to buying products that he requires today.

His association with HYQUIP extends to over 50 years through the former company, Production Equipment.

Not only a supporter of local businesses, but also of local charities and community/sports groups, Harold gives a financial contribution every year to organisations within Bolton.

Reaching this 25-year milestone would not have been possible without the continued support and loyalty of our customers. From projects with some of the UK’s largest organisations, government contracts, and global assignments to building a strong network with local SMEs, this has all proved fundamental to our growth.

We would also like to recognise the invaluable support of our brand partners and suppliers. Their collaboration, technical expertise, and ongoing support have been instrumental in helping us deliver the highest levels of service to our customers.
