The HYDAC AquaSensor AS 8000 Series is designed for continuous online monitoring of free water content in mineral oil and lubrication fluids, with a detection range of 0.5% to 50%. Ideal for use in steel plants, marine systems, and cooling applications, it helps prevent costly system failures by enabling early detection of water ingress. Operating at temperatures from 5 to 80°C and pressures up to 10 bar, it delivers precise 4–20 mA or RS232 output signals for seamless integration.

General Function:
The AquaSensor AS 8000 was developed for the detection and measurement of free water in mineral oil and lubrication fluids with water contents above the saturation point. It enables the continuous online monitoring of the water content in percentages (approximately 0.5% to 50%) The signals are transmitted through an evaluator as 4 ... 20 mA signals through an RS232 interface or as switching signals. The parameterisation of the AS 8000 ensues conveniently via the RS232 interface.
