Axial Piston Pumps

Axial piston pumps are positive displacement pumps that use multiple cylinders grouped around a central axis. The group of cylinders, usually containing an odd number, is called a cylinder block. The pistons within each cylinder are attached to a swashplate.
Axial piston pumps in swash plate and bent axis design are intended for medium and high-pressure applications. There are numerous variations in the designs, performance ranges, and adjustment options which offer ideal solutions for both mobile and industrial applications. These are available as variable and fixed displacement pumps.
Variable displacement axial piston pumps, the flow is proportional to the drive speed and the displacement. The flow varies by adjusting the swivel angle. Axial piston variable pumps are available for hydrostatic drives in open and closed circuits.
In the case of axial piston pumps with fixed displacement, the flow is proportional to the rotational speed of the drive and to the displacement. Axial piston pumps with fixed displacement are available for hydrostatic drives in open control circuits.
