Carr Lane Press fit bushings are the most common yet most cost-effective type of drill bushing in the range. P-style drill bushings are the most common and cost-effective type of drill bushing. These bushings are permanently installed into the jig plate, typically flush with the top surface. Press fit bushings (P- style) bushings are primarily used for single-operation drilling or reaming, particularly when there is no expectation of replacing the bushings throughout the tooling's lifespan. They can be mounted closer together than headed bushings but provide less resistance to heavy axial loads. These are available in both ground and unground variants. Carr Lane Head Press Fit Bushings are a variation of standard press fit bushings, featuring a head designed to withstand significant axial loads. These bushings are permanently installed into the jig plate and are typically used for single-operation drilling or reaming, where the bushings are not intended to be replaced throughout the tooling's lifespan. The head of these bushings can either remain exposed or be recessed by counterboring the installation hole.

Their diamond-knurled outer diameter offers superior grip, resisting both rotational and axial forces effectively.
