Carr Lane Bullet-Nose Pins
Precision bullet-nose locating pins are commonly paired with matching bushings to accurately align two parts of a fixture. Typically, a Bullet-Nose Round Pin and a Bullet-Nose Diamond Pin are used together to align two holes without causing interference. The diamond pin is designed to locate in only one axis, preventing any binding. The pin's shank diameter matches the outer diameter (OD) of the bushing, ensuring that the installation holes can be bored simultaneously in both fixture pieces for enhanced precision.
Options:
- Round, Diamond and Bushings
- Imperial and Metric
- External Diameter - 9/16 - 1-1/2 or .512 - .866
The pin's shank diameter and the bushing's OD are the same size to allow boring the installation hole in both fixture pieces at the same time, for greater accuracy. The pin's head and shank diameters are concentric to within .0005 TIR, while the bushing's ID and OD are concentric to within .0003 TIR.
