Alignment Pins and Accessories

Cam handle expanding pins are alignment pins that expand to offer the highest tolerance alignment of two holes possible. Created with female split bushings separated by males segments formed on centre spindle, that is allowed to expand when it is drawn together. They are available in standard pin diameters from 1/4" to 3/4" in various available lengths.

Depending on extended screw length, these threaded alignment pins can be used for clamping and locating, or clamping only. The clamping bushing is made separate from the pin, and is required to be welded in place at the proper length to fit the application.  These are available in thread sizes from #10-32 to 1/2-13 (M6 to M12 in metric)

L Pins and T Pins have precision-ground pin diameter to ensure accurate hole alignment. L Pins and T Pins are removable locating pins with a durable construction, each featuring a handle end with a small hole for attaching an optional cable. These pins come in a variety of diameters and lengths. Jig Pins, similar to L and T Pins, incorporate an integral shoulder to keep the handle raised.  Also available from the Carr Lane range, locking L Pins and T Pins with a lock screw that securely holds bushings in place. These pins are available in both imperial and metric sizes.

Carr Lane button handle ball lock pins are one of four variations within their ball lock pin range. These ball lock pins are manufactured as durable, quick release alignment pins with a precision ground shank. This range is available in both steel or stainless-steel materials. The sizes range from 3/16 to 1". Listed below are the standard part numbers within the button handle range. All ball lock pins have the option of adding a cable. Captive Locating Screws can be used for locating and clamping, or for clamping only, by selecting the appropriate screw length. The locating screw's precision-ground body is positively retained in a locking bushing and in fully retracted position, the bushing's spring clip snaps into the body's radial groove, holding the fully retracted screw by spring force and positively prevents removal. Spring pressure also holds the screw in intermediate extended positions, an advantage especially if the fixture is turned upside down. Available in thread sizes from 1/4-20 to 1/2-13.Locking-Pin Bushings are designed to press fit in a standard reamed hole. Secure with the included Lock screw to positively hold the bushing in place. Shorter or longer bushings are available in most sizes, for thinner or thicker plates.

Quick-release detent pins providing exact grip-length tolerance. These alignment pins are are equipped with a on spring-loaded locking ball and has a ring rather than a solid shoulder. The locking  balls use spring force to lock the pin in place and doesn't use positive locking like a ball lock pin. Using these detent pins is easy, simply push the pin to insert and pull to remove.

These Slotted Locator Bushings are designed for thin template jig plates ranging from 3/64" to 3/8" thick. They can be used with various alignment and locating pins to align two holes without binding. The precision bushings feature a tight tolerance in one direction and full relief in the perpendicular direction. The bushings are secured with a threaded Retainer Ring (sold separately), and the flush contact of the Retainer Ring against the jig plate ensures proper perpendicularity. OD serrations prevent the bushing from rotating. Threaded Template Bushings are easily removable for replacement or reuse. Available for pin diameters from 3/16" to 3/4".

Cable Rings allow attaching Cable Assemblies to a diameter or radial groove and can be used with cable sizes #1, #2, and #3

Similar to a standard Jig Pin, except that the pin body is positively retained in a locking bushing. In fully retracted position, the bushing's spring clip snaps into the pin's groove, holding the pin fully retracted by spring force and positively preventing removal.Spring pressure also holds the pin in intermediate extended positions, an advantage especially if the fixture is turned upside down. Like standard Jig Pins, Captive Jig pins have an integral shoulder to keep the handle raised.
