Similar to a standard Jig Pin, except that the pin body is positively retained in a locking bushing. In fully retracted position, the bushing's spring clip snaps into the pin's groove, holding the pin fully retracted by spring force and positively preventing removal.Spring pressure also holds the pin in intermediate extended positions, an advantage especially if the fixture is turned upside down. Like standard Jig Pins, Captive Jig pins have an integral shoulder to keep the handle raised.
Carr Lane tapped-heel miniature clamp straps with a radius nose to provide firm workpiece contact. These clamp straps are available to accommodate stud sizes #10-32 to 3/8-16, each in a choice of strap lengths. This clamp strap can be ordered individually, or in a complete clamp assembly. The available assemblies are assembly with knurled-head screw, assembly with clamp rest and assembly with levelling foot.
These Hand-retractable plungers feature a locking mechanism that secures it in the retracted position. To lock the plunger, simply pull the ring back and twist it 90°. It has a slight taper for easy alignment during use. The threaded-stud version shown here is compatible with nearly any type of knob handle (knob handle must be ordered separately). If desired, knob handles can be permanently fastened using thread-locking adhesive. This version is available in steel with thread sizes ranging from #10-32 to 5/8-11 (M6 to M12 in metric), and also in stainless steel with the same thread size options.
