Supports, Rests and Feet

Made from durable, replaceable inserts that, when installed to a fixture, enhance both holding power and wear resistance.  Instead of relying solely on static friction, they are engineered to make slight indentations in the workpiece, significantly increasing gripping force. These round grippers are available in a broad range of materials and finishes best designed to fit the needs of your application. Some of these include hardened tool steel, carbide tipped, solid carbide, abrasive diamond, bonded urethane and Delrin. Available in Metric and imperial and a range of sizes.

The nut rotates smoothly without shifting, ensuring the contact pad stays in place to prevent any movement or damage to the workpiece. It is offered in tapped-hole sizes ranging from 1/4-20 to 3/4-10 (M6 to M12 in metric). These are available in hardened steel and a black oxide finish.

The threaded contact bolt features an integrated swivel ball designed to hold a Round Gripper. This swivel ball, secured by a retaining ring, can be easily removed for the installation of any of the nine available Round Gripper types. The Gripper Swivel Contact Bolts include a fastening screw for the gripper, which also acts as a stop to prevent excessive swivelling of the ball. These bolts can be used both as contact bolts or supports. They come in thread sizes ranging from 3/8-16 to 1"-8 (M10 to M24 in metric), with most sizes available in various lengths.  For smaller sizes, refer to the Gripper Swivel Contact Bolts (Mini).

This medium-duty levelling foot features a removable pad and a convenient hex socket for easy adjustment from the stud end. The pad offers smooth rotation and pivots with a 20° swivel range. It comes in thread sizes ranging from 1/2-13 to 1"-8 (M12 to M24 in metric), each available in two different thread length options.

This support screw is designed with fine threads, allowing for precise and accurate adjustments. This range spans across both metric and imperial sizes. It is available in a range of fine-thread sizes, including #10-32 to 3/4-16, as well as 1/4-20. For metric applications, it is also offered in standard thread sizes ranging from M5 to M16, providing versatility to suit various needs.

The precision height locator features a spherical-radius head designed to reduce the contact area with the workpiece. Its close-tolerance shank ensures a secure press-fit installation in a reamed hole. Spherical-radius locator buttons are ideal for use as supports, side locator pads, and jig feet. They are available with head diameters ranging from 3/16" to 3/8".

Carr Lane levelling feet are manufactured with a heavy-duty, large diameter pad. These are available in five different material and finish options. These materials include stainless steel, steel zinc plated and steel with a black oxide finish. The steel zinc plated, and stainless-steel variants are also available with a Delrin pad. Levelling feet are available in sizes ranging from #10-32 to 12-8 and M6 – M20 in metric.

This precision height locator features a threaded shank for easy installation into a tapped hole. Its cone shape offers a minimal contact area while ensuring a large, stable base. Screw Rest Pads are highly versatile, serving as supports, side locator pads, and jig feet. They are available in thread sizes ranging from 5/16-18 to 5/8-11 (M8 to M16 metric) and come in various support heights up to 2" (50mm metric).

Mini-size rest pad featuring an integrated swivel ball secured by a retaining ring. The gripper face is machined directly on the swivel ball. A built-in stop ensures the ball doesn't swivel beyond a certain point. Gripper Swivel Pads can be either surface-mounted or placed in a counterbored hole for installation. It is offered in body diameters ranging from 3/8 to 5/8" (10 to 17mm in metric).

A compact threaded contact bolt featuring an integrated swivel ball secured by a retaining ring. The flat gripper surface is precisely machined directly onto the swivel ball. A built-in stop ensures the ball doesn't swivel beyond a certain point. This component can function as either a contact bolt or a support. A precision swivel ball that functions as both a contact bolt and a rest pad. When used as contact bolts, these swivel-ball units are perfect for distributing clamping pressure evenly on sloped or uneven surfaces. As rest pads, they are precision-ground on both the top and bottom for precise height positioning, even on sloped surfaces. Featuring a 20° total swivel angle, these are available in thread sizes ranging from 5/16-18 to 5/8-11.
